Good Morning!

I would like to continue reading your blogs as we continue with our next module which is Debating. Do you know what a debate is? If you think you do, come up with some awesome debate topics for our class on Monday, March 31, 2009. We will start learning all there is to learn about debating and more. We will spend some time in the computer lab as well for our next module. Please continue to check this blog as I will be asking you questions on debating and hopefully you will be posting your own reflections as well.

Only one day left!

You have two days to finish your assignments. I am looking forward to reading all of your postings. I would like to spend more time on this module as soon as our Internet and computers are working properly. I don't want to waste any more valuable school time sitting idle waiting for the Internet to kick in when we could be doing some hands on work in the classroom too. You are more than welcome to continue blogging and I will check your blogs every day as long as you are posting. We will be using the computers for research for sure and we will be in the computer lab as often as we can.

Good Morning Classbloggers!

As you may know already, I have been away at a funeral and therefore have not been posting on this blog since last week. I am back now and we are going to use today's class and tomorrow's as a time for you to catch up on your assignments for Module 11. We are going to start a new module on Monday, March 30th. Our next module is on debating. So be ready by thinking of issues that may be excellent for debating. See you all in class.

Good morning bloggers!

Heads up! I am giving you time all week to finish as many assignments as you can, plus, I will not post any new assignments until as least half of you are done the first six. I know you must be feeling overwhelmed with some of the assignments especially if you have not been in class in awhile. I just want to say, you are all doing a great job at blogging and keep up the great work. I am receiving a few comments too. WOW!!

Hello out there!

This is your teacher speaking to you through this blog. Welcome back Jorden C. I am glad to hear that you are feeling better and that your surgery went well.

As for the rest of the class, don't forget, I will be available for those who need extra time on the computer after school today.

Good Morning Class!

I checked your blogs and it seems that most of you are not posting any comments or reflections on your assignments in your blogs. I would like to see some interaction amongst your classmates as well by posting comments after reading their blogs. If you need extra time on the computer at school, please let me know so that I can make arrangements to have the computer lab open for you after school this week. Please feel free to comment on my blog if you are experiencing any difficulties with assignments or with your blogs. Have fun blogging!!

Activity: Reports

For this assignment I would like you to explore a broad topic such as "How the Internet has affected world-wide communication" or "How e-mail has affected personal communications." Please present your findings in written or oral reports. Oral reports can be presented during class time. Your written reports should be handed in by March 13th, 2009. If you have any questions, please talk to me during class or after school any time.

I am happy to see that some of you are posting your reflections on your blog which is exactly what I want to see. I have also commented on some of your recent postings. And just a note or reminder, do not use language that is not commonly used in our classroom. Thanks. Happy blogging to you all.

Assignment 2

Great job gang! You are all doing an awesome job at blogging. The only thing I need to see now is your reflections on the work we have done already in assignment 1. I will read each of your reflections on your blogs and I will comment on it. You too can comment on each other's blog as long as you do not include any profanity of obscene language.

Assignment 2:

Activity: Using the Internet as a Source of Information

Please select a country and/or specific area that you would like to visit. Find travel information using the Internet (how to get there, where to stay, what to see, etc.). You can finalize your assignment for evaluation by posting your country in your blog for all of us to see and read. Maybe it will be a place you will visit one day. Have fun and stay focussed. You can have "play time" when you have completed both assignments and reflected on your blog.
